We really loved these impressive file cabinets from Steelcase, a world-renowned office furniture company, so we gave them a try. Although they are extremely well made and very attractive, our staff (and selected premier customers) voted to maintain our exclusive offering of the HON file cabinet line, which we've been selling for the past 3 years. The Steelcase Sterling Metallic is a beautiful (and consistent) medium gray metallic finish, which is very similar to our Anthracite Metallic. The raw steel HON finish shown our our website has more color "deviations", and is more consistent with our unique Brushed Steel finish.
The other primary difference of this Steelcase lateral file cabinet, other than the finish, is the 30" width (vs 42") and the recessed drawer pulls (vs pull handles). Other product highlights are similar: interlock feature allows for only one shelf to open at a time; counterweight (included, though shipped in a separate box) to prevent tipping; adjustable hang rails for letter, legal, or A4 filing; and, a locking feature, of course.
